My work has always been steeped in the need to encapsulate and preserve memory. Travels in Italy and Mexico have increased this obsession. It is through the visual and connotative language of shrines, reliquaries, and memorials that I create my work. It is my need to make the objects tell a story. Building my work with copper plates that have been reused again and again, creating a history that is carried throughout the work both literally and visually.
